I tell people I was bitten by a dog that died of rabies and their initial reaction is shock and concern. I then tell them it was a chihuahua and they generally can’t help but laugh. This is what makes the brand as approachable as it is uncomfortable.
When I created the Rabid Chihuahua brand I did so thinking rabies was gone, a distant echo of a monster vanquished. Rabid Chihuahua was going to be an irreverent piece of fun. I was shocked when I discovered rabies was still hurting so many people, so many children.
25,000 children under the age of fifteen are dying each year!
Rabid Chihuahua isn’t linked in any way to Mission Rabies; but if you're motivated to learn more or donate something; then the existence of Rabid Chihuahua will have achieved something worthwhile.
Let's rid the world of rabies by 2030! Let's get that party started!
